PHYSICS WORKING GROUP

Group description:

This working group discuss the physics that needs to be implemented in the JETSCAPE framework, namely jet energy loss, medium response, and so on. Group members also take in charge of using the JETSCAPE instrument to study jet observables measured in the RHIC and LHC heavy-ion collisions.

Group main tasks:

  • Finalize the baseline calculations in pp collisions with the JETSCAPE framework
  • Perform jet energy loss calculations for the AuAu and PbPb collisions with generated event-by-event hydro medium
  • Develop a causal formalism for jet energy deposition and medium response
  • Recombination Model — A hybrid hadronization scheme
  • Discuss the applicable kinematic region for AdS/CFT energy loss and connect it with MATTER + MARTINI/LBT
  • Heavy-quark energy loss
  • Jet energy loss at NLO
